Hey guys, most of you probably don't know me but I've been long time lurker and post every so often. My name is Tommy and I'm from a northern suburb of Chicago. I'm 18 years old and I've been into cars for a few years now and I've owned quite a few. I started my own business when I was in highschool and I've paid for all of my car purchases by myself. My first car was an automatic civic handmedown with 150k miles from my sister (the only car I didn't pay for). I then got a subaru RS, another subaru RS, a WRX, a '90 miata, another WRX, yet again another subaru RS (my current DD and winter car) and last but not least, my '91 Turbo miata.

I Don't usually buy cars modified but I had to jump on this deal because it was too good to pass up. After selling my miata and moving back to subarus, I knew that I wanted to own another miata some day, it was my favorite car and I loved how small they were. The one thing I didn't like about my NA that I owned before was the lack of power, so I set out to find one with a turbo. A few months later I saw this one on ebay and ended up winning it for $3500. I set up shipping for $500 from PA to chicago and got it a week later. (February 9th, 2012)

I knew there would be little things I would probably have to fix and I was ok with that, It's winter and I love a good project.

My RS will be my DD for a few more months until the snow is gone and then I'll be selling than and DDing the miata. Until then, I'm going to be getting everything in line, and changing mods to my preferences.

So without further adieu, here is the list of mods that I currently know are on the car (I've been finding little things here and there):

-Boost and Air/Fuel gauges (A/F currently not working)
-Brembo brake pads
-Brembo slotted & cross-drilled rotors
-Chrome roll-bar-
-Eibach Sport springs
-CX Racing Front mount intercooler
-Vortech fuel management
-Exedy clutch
-Greddy Ti-C catback with magnaflow cat
-Grant steering wheel
-1.8 drivetrain
-Jackson Racing front sway bar with adjustable heim jointed end links and poly urethane mounts
-Greddy Turbo kit running 5-6 psi
-Greddy style BOV
-KYB AGX shocks
-Mazdaspeed 6-speed trans
-Sparco Sprint seats
-Pit Garage brackets
-NGK spark plug wires
-TSI's
-Lowpro headlights with 6k HID's (fairly certain they're moss)
-15x7 Rota RB's
-Kumho 195/50/15 tires
-Viper Alarm (not working right)
-Short shifter
-Bonz Strut Brace
-Carbon fiber finish panel (not sure what brand yet)
-Pioneer head unit
-MB quarts in front speakers along with 2 6x9 in back
-RE audio 12 in trunk with hifonics amp and capacitor
-Voodoo weighted shift knob
-"Miata" metal door sills
-Powder coated valve cover
-RacingBeat type 1 front bumper
-Type R rear spoiler

2/9/12:

Car came today, had a dead battery, went to vatozone and got it quickly replaced. Reinstalled disconnected subwoofer in the trunk. Changed out the NGK's for my own NGK's from my last miata that are near brand new. Drove the car around and it pulls great, has a blown up downpipe gasket that I'm going to try to tackle tomorrow, suspecting that that's the reason for a slight amount of boost lag. The BOV isn't set right either, only going off at low boost.

Pictures from today:

Thanks for your support! I will update this thread as much as possible.

Got a few things started today. Bought a new breather filter, the old one was in pretty bad shape an had no clamp.

Old vs new:

Also started pulling the interior apart. Going to change the wheel and hub setup, fix the gauges, and change the headunit. Also i'm picky and I want to clean everything. Next is pulling the seats out so I can actually get under the dash. Also have a new jack and jack stands on the way so I can get the exhaust situation fixed.

Here's a shot of the current interior after starting on taking it apart:

Also snapped a shot of th current hub which was loose and sucked. Anyone ever
Seen one of these?

Yeah the hub is sketchy.. definitely not using it. Debating on changing out my white XXR 527's that I have sitting in my garage for the rota's. Still need to find tires for them. Coils are also on the list, probably going with Vmaxx

Got some more work done on the car today. Removed the hard top and driver side seat so I can get going on the wiring. Found that all of the wiring for the wideband and boost gauge had been cut. Going to try to rewire both of them some time this week. Also going to move the Pitgarage seat brackets up since I'm short lol.

EDIT: Also just ordered a Garage Star airbag defeat for my wheel settup, should be a nice addition and can't complain for 12 bucks.

Sorry I don't have enough money to meet your standards. And thanks for catching that error, I fixed the first post.
