Ok I'm signed up for one of their AE 101/111 ITB adapters for the NB Miata. Looking for the Itb's and just wondering cause im a bit mixed up, will only itb's com a silvertop rotors engine work or will the itb's off a blacktop motor work? Don't wanna get the wrong thing.

Thanks guys. Now another question. Is it worth the extra time and money having to port match the adapter for the 111 itb's? I mean if I use them ill port match but will I gain anything from the bigger throttle bodies? I plan on running something similar to Owm's setup. Nothing over the top but probably 11:1 compression, cams, headwork, good header.

If your going oversize pistons then the blacktop ITBs will benefit you more if not go for the silvertops

I think either would be fine. I went ae111s but mine is going in a turbo car. Piston size, compression, redline, cam overlap, etc all play into the need for larger throttles not just piston diameter. The cfm required can be changed by many variables, heck the length of the velocity stack can change the ideal diameter.

It should be noted that in NA builds the 4age will usually show gains switching to the blacktop over the silver.

Do you just have a library of Miata knowledge stored neatly in you're ass? And if so where can I get one? Thanks once again for all the input. Can't wait till i actually start building this thing and have about 5 questions a day. I decided to stick with the silver top itbs since I won't have the extra step and cost of port matching. That and the guy that had the silver top itbs finally f*ing got back to me with a final price! Plus it'll be easier to go to black top itbs later if need be. Kinda hard to add material to the adapter to go down to the silver tops if I needed.
