I always liked the picture on my friend's panasonic plasma, blacks just seemed blacker. Thing is I do play games, and don't wanna risk burning a HUD into the display, thats why I'd rather stick w/ either and LCD or DLP based TV, and sacrifice the contrast. I had a DLP once in my office conference room, but my office got broken into and it got stolen. I did notice the rainbow effect on it, but only on white backgrounds. But DLPs are available in some massive sizes for cheap, and I don't need something that can hang up on a wall.

I wouldn't worry about burn in. I have never had burn in or image retention on either of my plasmas and I play games a lot. The newer plasmas all have feature to reduce and prevent any chances of burn in, for instance my plasmas have something called "orbiter", essentially a pixel shift feature.

I've had lcd's, dlp's, a sony 3 lcd rp, don't cheat yourself out of having the best picture quality.

I am not into home audio etc at all but this is the perfect place for this question... I just got booted out of my current man cave so that my son can have a big playroom, so now I have taken the home office and made it the new man area. Anyways previously I had my 42" Vizio on a stand but I am now going to be wall mounting it. Has anyone used the "powerbridge" to conceal power/av wires? http://www.powerbridgesolution.com/
