Oh yes...I definitely am interested in the Raammat. Did it work well for you?

It didn't not work. :phillyb: Hard to say really as the car was down for a bit when I installed it, and I made a lot of changes during that time (bigger 'charger was one) so kind of hard to say for certain. Hey it's free, so you are only out the time to install it. :littlepony:

Re: The Tick aka OEM Plus™

That was a great line from a John Mulaney stand-up special

I'm sold!
In a soft top convertible, you're really not going to notice it while driving, though - the doors will close with more of a thud, and the trunk won't sound so "tinny" when you have stuff in it. For free, it's GTG, but it might smell a little (like old man... better let it air out).

If you like it and get more, go for a butyl-based product... never asphalt. I last bought butyl mat on Amazon Prime; brand is Noico.

My main thing is trying to take a little bit off the exhaust boom (which admittedly has gotten better) and make my tranny tunnel (I can't say "tranny tunnel" without hearing Mr. Regular in my head talking about a porno movie he worked on) a little less hot.

Oh? We'll see. It's pretty low on the priority list.

There's pre-cut for miata heat mats for trans tunnel/driver footwell.

Cheap way to help cut down on interior noise is stuff a $2 walmart pillow in each of the areas behind the bulkhead where your shocks are.

If there are, mine are either not there or just not effective.

Have to try that.

You right. I would hate to tempt the gods of fate and engineering by ever using something even slightly outside of its intended use and design. There’s no possible way a thin layer of cooling mat could ever work with factory carpet and full interior.

Godspeed Ben. Your life is in your hands now.

Challenge accepted. I'm planning on installing mine this weekend.

Now you're just making fun of me

I just didn't want to spend $150 on something to find out it didn't fit.
