So just posting some pics of my engine internals. Anyone know about cam bearings? what do you think.

turns out my thrust bearing fell off and allowed my crank to shift around, therefore grinding into my block and throwing metal shaving all in my oil. This messed up my camshaft bearings and journals. IM wondering if its salvagable, anyone see anything like this before?

Apparently some of the early NB engines were assembled with the wrong thrust bearings and eventually they would just wear through, at which point the crank would just walk forward and machine the block. Presumably that's what happened here.

Yeah, it's basically fatal unless you notice that there's tons of extra endplay when you're doing a timing belt change or something.

It might be worth spending the money on an eBay engine from a reputable JDM reseller. They tend to be lower mileage than USDM junkyard engines these days.
