About to order a set of 15x8 et32 wheels. Most guys are running 225/45/15's but there are very few manufactures and they are premium prices due to that. Thinking of 215/50/15 or 205/50/15's. I like a little stretch and had a set of 15x8 sportmax 02's with 205/50/15's that didn't clear but almost tucked the top of the tires with H&R race springs. Looked pretty good. Just don't want them to look good w/out rubbing.

Currently Running (no rubbing):
17x8 et35 215/45/17
-205/50/15 1.5" smaller overall
-215/50/15 1" smaller overall
17x9 et35 225/45/17
-205/50/15 2" smaller overall
-215/50/15 1.5" smaller overall

I'd like them to be as close to the fenders as possible so I was thinking the 215/50/15 due to the 1" smaller diameter which will move the tire .5" further away from the fender than the current setup. Just don't want the sidewall to look huge.

Any Input or Pics would be great!

225/50/15

Hankook RS2 Z212. They also have a 45 series as well.

Were these strictly street tires? Or were you gonna do some track events?

If street is your primary usage, The Falken Ziex 512 also come in a 225/50/15

uhhh well no flares on a 15x8 + 0 you want to go 195/50/15 or even 195/45/15 if you want hella stretch.

205/50s rub sometimes.

wouldnt you want like a 225/40, not like 225/50?

215/45 might be the ticket if thats available.

hope this helps.
195/50=97.5mm sidewall height
195/55=107.25mm
205/50=102.5mm

The reason that i mention 225/50/15 is that stock sidewall is 60 on a 14'' wheel so i was thinking that the best fit for a 15'' wheel would be 50 but that is only a 10 mm diffrence. I see thanks.

i'm runnin 195/50/15 goodyear eagle f1's on 15x8 +10 watanabe F8's
fenders are rolled flat and its tuckin a little of the tire
it rubbs a little when the wheel is turned all the way
traction is great for touge or freeway turns...havent tested them at autox yet seeing they closed down the track here in hawaii
the tires hold freeway turns at 115 w/no tire noise at all
BAD- 5k mi and -4.5 degress camber later... and front tires are gone...lol
ill try to have some pics posted up by tomorrow

oh yeah and dont buy falken zeix 512...THEY SUCK!!!...not even worth the cheep price AZENIS's on the other hand are great tires
i was running bridgestone potenza so3's in the front and falken zeix 512's on the back of my 93 civic hatch at autox a while back when i had it and they lost all traction after the first run
i wouldn't complain if they were on a FR car and did that but they did it on a damn FF?!?! WTF!?!?

Assuming a 205/50/r15 would "stretch" fit a 15x8, would a general place like Discount Tire beable to install the tires on the wheels, or would you have to take them somewhere special to have them "stretched" on?
