I have a supercharged 95 that I bought already built. I'm the 3rd owner only about 3000 since build. While driving, not hooning the harmonic balancer broke off. The bolts holding the pulley onto the pulley boss sheared. The woodruff key snapped and the crank gear twisted . So the question is does this happen due to too much HP / tourqe (235) or were the bolts holding the pulley to the boss not strong enough (oem vs grade 8)

That's a common problem for bp engines. I just shot my old one off a few weeks ago. But 949 sells a supermiata damper that uses the woodruff key instead of the 4 10mm bolts. Or you can just grab another stock one and find some stronger bolts and just roll with it.

Wow, snapped the woodruff?
What kind of tension are you running on the supercharger belt?
M45 94, no pulley issues here.

Are you running DTB's and not running a pressure relief?
