Some of those tests are dumb. The shop I worked for had a bunch of wheels that we took off customers cars when they bought new ones. There was a few cheap $70-100 17" wheels back there and when cleaning up we though it would be cool to use the sledge hammer we had to bend/break the wheel(s). Either one of us with all our might couldn't do a damn thing. It would put a slight indentation where we hit it but nothing major. So as far as hitting it w/a piece of wood or throwing it up in the air onto the pavement is just retarded (any cast/forged wheel now a days would pass it). The bare rim and the curb thing is cool but i'm sure there still scratched all the hell and missing aluminum so your still out a rim....
