hey gang, just wanted your input on this one.

check out the turbo in the following ebay auction:

how does that turbo compare, specs wise, to a disco potatoe?

just curious.

also, do you all think that turbo would be a good fit, using two of them, for a twin turbo setup on a 2.5 v6?

That turbo in the link is the same size turbo that comes with the FM2 and AVO turbo kits. The disco has the same size houseing but the blades are a little bigger. I have seen 2 t28s on a vq30 (300z) and it put down around 400 @ the wheels at 18 psi.

Buyer beware. It's a chinese no-name turbo. It might work for a long time, but I have heard of the center section dying in mere months. might be worth the money to buy the real deal from ATP or similar.

Agent935, thanks for the warning, but since my car isn't a race/track car and it isn't a daily driver, i'm willing to take my chances with the turbos from those people. i too have heard bad things about them, but at the same time, i have also heard good stories of their turbos, so i guess its just the luck of the draw.

i know their products are low quality, but like is said, the car isn't going to be driven hard on a constant basis, so i think i can take the risk. i am also looking at their blow off valves. they have a package with two BOVs and all the mounting hardware and flanges for $150.00.

once i have all the parts i need, then i'll start working on my setup.
