Hey guys,

came here after much recomendation from the miata.net

im looking for some ideas for a carbon fiber vented hood solution, and would like to know what all is out there.

so far only thing i can find for the NB miata is the scoote, and oem c/f hood.

i'd like something that is a truely vented hood to help with engine temps, and i also want it carbon fiber to go with the c/f duckbill trunk.

Can anyone here post up some scoote style hood shots for me installed. other than the manufacturers. I saw that they are not a true vent system so if anyone has hacked one up to make it a real vent pics of that would be nice as well.

I've actually got a Chaser OEM CF hood. It fits fairly well, but I wouldn't recommend Chaser as a whole. Mine arrived with a couple chips on the corners and while we got things settled, enough people have had difficulties with them in customer service, fitment, etc. I wouldn't recommend them. So I don't know if I really helped or not, but that's my spiel lol

well looking at the chaser, it looks to fit decient other than the front. is it me, or do they look like they have a nice 1/4 gape there more than it should be?

it might be angle of the photo though.

where can i get this garage vary hood? I cant find it anywhere that seems to be US based sites.
you won't find them pretty much anywhere but japan as they are a made to order item direct from the factory.

I use to have one and the quality is amongst the highest you will find.

it looks oem quality and fits very well.

you can order direct from www.vary.co.jp.

or any site that sells genuine garage vary items will be able to order one for you.

you will have to pay a fortune for shipping or you might be able to wait until they make a larger order and tag onto that.
