After selling my 93 Miata and buying a FB Rx-7
(something I'm debating whether or not I regret) Selling the RX-7 and buying a motorcycle
(Something I do regret) then selling the motorcycle (Which I don't regret). And saving up for another car.
I'm back in the Miata game.

I am in love with the car.
Has 98,000 miles. Immaculate interior, perfect exterior.
It has the AEM intake, Manual boost controller, I think the Forge BOV, and the aluminum intake tube.
It's perfectly fast, boost comes on fast and strong. Holds all the way up.
Scared the Dealer getting on the freeway.
I didn't think the suspension was going to be as stiff as it is.
Debating just getting GC coilovers with 400F/300R
Seems to be an established set up.
Then 16x8 with Falken 912's or if I have money at the time, RS3's *drool*
Bucket seats, rollbar and a stitch weld. Probably call it a day for a good while.
Top end rebuild within the next 20,000 miles.
Mishi radiator and and Ebay intercooler.
Slotted rotors with R4S's and ATE blue with stainless lines.
Probably a F1 spec clutch with a 10lb flywheel
Basically do everything I did to my 93. Just with turboz.
Nice little car I think. : 3gears:

Looking forward to sharing all of my progress/ lack of progress with you all!

Time for an update.
When I first got the car; the MBC was set at (I think) 16 clicks up. Was getting 10 psi at about 4200, then at 5500 it would jump up to 14. And I could hear my wastegate...not gating..waste.....:suicide:

So I turned it down to 3 clicks, that got me to about 12 psi tops, the down one more, 11 ish, and it's really freaking cold right now, so I turned it down to one click and now I'm at 10.5ish tops. Which I'm happy with.

Did an oil change, transmission fluid change, differential fluid change as well as swapping out the spark plugs with NGK Iridium's and cleaning the air filter. Car feels a lot more peppy. I used Redline MT90 transmission fluid. Shifts like butter, it's wonderful.

Side note, changing the transmission fluid is a pain in the ass on MSM's. On my NA the bolt was just there, then you let it all out. Bolted it back together. Stuck a tube down from the engine bay and fed in the fluid.
MSM I had to take out that butterfly brace, then combine a funnel/sprinkler components, and a vaccum tube to fill it.
Worth it though. Love how the shifter feels now.

However to the 6-speed. I don't think I like it in comparison to the 5-speed. The gears are just way too short. For driving fast and staying in the boost I love it. But, if I wanna drive normally, or on the freeway, it isn't pleasing.

Now granted at 70ish in my NA I was at 3900 or so, That car felt like it enjoyed it. As if it didn't mind sitting there.
This car feels much more high strung.
Or maybe it's just that much stiffer and I can feel more.
I dunno. Might consider a 5 speed swap or a 3.63 R&P swap some time in the future.
Here's some more pictures of my MSM

Me picking up said MSM

Engine bay shot, I hate those god awful red vaccum lines.
Buying black ones and tucking it all underneath the intake tubes

and my Instagram shot. :haiguyths:

This Saturday I'm buying an Autopower rollbar for 150$
And next week I'm buying these

16x8's and I'm going to put Falken 912's on them.
They are going to be powder coated matte black.
Might just plasti-dip them though.
They won't go onto the car until I've bought my GC Coilover perchs/springs.

But progress none-the-less

Oh and me and another Miata buddy went on a canyon run then went to McD and I took some crappy photo's

Thanks for reading!

How do you mean "inferior"?
They're wider than stock, by an inch. And lighter.
I don't like the 17's on there

And some brand called "raptor" are the tires that are on there currently

I had 912's on my NA and I loveddddddd those tires.
Granted, never did a track day, nor have I driven anything with Hoosiers or anything.

But I love those tires, they're cheap and predictable. They talk.

Inferior as in Racing Hart makes quality parts as opposed to the crap that XXR puts out.

Ah,
Okay.
I understand that. But, I can't justify spending that much money on wheels.
It doesn't bother me to have rep's.

In other news

Sitting in my car,at work, on my last break.
Lady pulls in next to me in a Camry.
Opens her door

Right into my car.

I massage my temples, get out.
She says "sorry, It didn't dent."
-"yeah, but you left scratches and your paint."

-"ohhh, well it's a nice car."

-"I know, I bought it two days ago"

-"ohhhh." *walks away*

While I sit there scratching off her paint (which I succeeded in)

^^^ Why I'm so damn apathetic to most people.

No accountability; complete disregard for anyone else and their property.

Granted, the scratch was smaller than my pinky.

But it's the way she reacted to the situation that annoyed me and affirmed my attitude towards people.

If we were in, say, Canada.
And this happened.
The person would have been inviting me over to their house, profusely apologizing all the while, offering me a donut.

Ugh >.>

Cause people are junk. Last nov someone managed to park their bumper into my drivers quarter panel. Sadly I didn't noticed it until next morning when I was headed to work. No note, nothing. I investigated the next day, shop owners didn't have camera's and the one there wasn't working. And many bumpers with someone elses paint on them.

Pics from the intercooler install

Forgot to get pictures with it installed. Nor did I get many pics
Ended up being able to use the stock couplers. The new intercooler outlets were (I think) 2.75". And the stock intercooler was (I think) 2.5".

SO, we fought with the couplers. Couldn't do it easily. Went to Autozone; nothing. O'reilys; nothing. Bunch of turbo civic buddies; too ghetto a solution.
Went home, heat up one end of the couplers with a torch, spit on the intercooler outlets; she went on :D
Put real clamps on there and buttoned her up.

Decided not to install my catch can.
Apparently, I already have one stock, and after looking inside my intake piping. It seems to be working.
Even empties back into the oil pan.
So, Anyone want a catch can?
Comes with 5 feet of some hose and appropriate clamps :D

PO had attempted to shine up the headlights.... and failed miserably.
Fixed that right up.
Before and after.

:icon_cheers:

*gasp*
Look what I found in my Owners Manual!
Wonder if I'm able to use it.

Next is coilovers and 16x8's :phillyb:

Totally irrelevant.
But, my mom dressed her up in this "jacket".
And, I think she looks ridiculous.
