I'm not exactly a big fan of silver cars, in fact, i wanted to paint my silver miata as soon as i got it. Now that i've owned it a while, i can almost stand it. But i still hate my wheels. In fact, i was almost happy selling my MINI because i had a silver dash (which i didn't want) and silver wheels (which i also didn't want) but i wanted my Bright Yellow Mini. #-o

I have puffy looking light silver wheels on there now (you can see them in my signature). i just got new tires for them, so i have to get a 15" wheel to put the tires on... but i have no idea what wheels to replace my ugly ones with.

I don't want the typical black/polished lip, and i'm jealous of the wheels i convinced my boyfriend to get for his miata, so i want something that'll keep me from falling in love with HIS car, rather than mine. (and i don't want identical wheels, so Konig Heliums are out :? )

I absolutely refuse to get light silver. I was debating some kind of anthracite with a polished/machined lip, and i want it to look more masculine/aggressive on the exterior, so something kind of racy.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. If possible, i'd like to keep it under 150$ a wheel, and not very heavy obviously.

yeh, i looked into Rota and Konig and like their wheels the mostest. I wanted C8's on my old miata, but i think they look too much like heliums, which i DONT want.

I was debating the Subzero/Minuz's, but i want gunmetal/polished lip, so that only leaves Subzero, which means i need to upgrade my rotors and paint my calipers :p

I hate silver and I ended up with a silver miata... go figure. but I think black looks best on silver. hands down so far. I had gold rota rb's, black diamond racing, and now silver sportmax... black look mean and racer. silver looks like a color coordinated m.net jackass, and gold looked a little too flashy for my tasts on silver.

gluck.

for my money red and dark green are the only other "colors" I'd pick now. other than black :)

sportmax 002's. very masculine looking. 15x8 +0 (in case anyone forgot, lol). black, and red would probably be your best bets. or you could get silver, and paint them whatever color you want! its really not that hard to do!

I powder coated my first miata's stock wheels in my garage long ago, and they lasted the whole 2 weeks i had them on the car before i wrecked it. I could POTENTIALLY do it again, but it'd be pink, and i don't know how pink would look with silver.

i see everyone recommending rotas, although they are a decent option for a cheap wheel, remember that you can buy real wheels used for the price of new rotas.

my forged 2 piece ssr's were 500 bucks from a friend... as long as there are no bends/curbage, you are much better off with a used forged wheel than a new cast cheapy.

i would keep my eye out for some local used 4x100 wheels that everyone and their brother doesnt already have, and go from there.

I've always been a fan of Silver and Bronze as a combination. IMHO, Gunmetal looks more like a dirty Silver and doesn't have enough contrast to really impress.
