Im used to cars with the battery under the hood, so you guys with foglights, where underhood did you wire up for power to the lights?

IIRC, doesn't the starter lead go straight back to the battery?

At least when I do fog lights, that's what I'm going to run my wire parallel to.

You need a constant 12V source that goes to a relay, correct? then your going to either use a toggle switch or the headlight switch to throw the relay, right?

If it was me, I'd just run the wires through the firewall and get power at the ignition harness. Just make sure to fuse it next to the ignition. Your going to have to run a wire anyways for the switch, so it makes for a simple clean install.

I just ran a wire from thr relay all the way back to the battery....wasn't creative enough to think of a better way :)

just to follow up on the issue, I tapped power from an unused slot in the underhood fusebox, and have an inline fused line running to the switch, and then from the switch to the lights.

the lights didnt come with a relay, they were cheap $17 APC foglights. more for exterior looks than anything else, although they are nice at night too.

I should go buy a set for my van, haha
