"Lot of people, you know what I'm sayin, they be gettin' misinformed thinkin' everything is everything, that you could just get yourself a little deal, whatever, youknowhatI'msayin'? you gonna get on you gonna get rich. And all these labels be trying to lure us in like spiders, into the web, knowhatI'msaying. So sometimes people gotta come out and speak up, and let people understand, that you know you gotta read the label you gotta read the label if you don't read the label you might get poisoned..." - RZA

Racing Sports Active

I don't know if Active actually makes it or whether someone else did and they just used it on their car. It's listed for sale here but I'm not sure if it actually is currently available to customers.

According to Peter aka The Blue Potato, "Active kit and still around on the used market - rumor has it that someone may pick up the kit again. As most of you know, Vary produces most of the body kits in Japan for all manuffacturers because of their incredible production facilities. One of my favorite kits. Check out the recent Road&ster - I think there is a nice example of the kit in there." 1

Here's a red one. I'd never seen this car before. What's the vintage and story behind it?

wow, never new Ford produced those. Looks like a capucchino to me?
It's a rally car, not a cup of coffee stupid  Just messin' with ya Nick.

There's a whole devision of Ford in Europe...they tend to make cars that would be awesome to have, but we don't get...a few I can think of:

-Ford Cosworth Sierra RS (AWD Turbo)
-Ford Cosworth Escort RS (AWD Turbo)
-Ford Focus RS (AWD Turbo)

unfortunately the Focus RS is FWD :-(

EDIT: the RS200 was a group 'B' rallycar, not long after its introduction a group B rallycar crashed and killed it's occupants, they were deemed far too fast and too light to be able to cope with hitting trees and the like and they were all banned.

There are some road going RS200's available in the UK, but they're extremly rare. EVO did a road test in one a few months ago, but i can't find the artice online.

This is a nice read however

Holy crap, you're right, I apologize for the misinformation.

Oh yeah, back to the original topic, I was just looking at that picture again, and it looks like this front end conversion could be a simple bolt-on affair, as those headlights and their covers seem to simply replace the stock pop-ups. Of course, you'd have to use that front bumper to make fitment proper.

I'm not so sure, look at how much the bonnet (hood) curves upwards to meet the 911 style wings, it looks very involved to my untrained eye

I wasn't talking about the old style one, but those are effing hot, too!

This is the escort I meant:

Rich, you're blaming the wrong organization. Ford could have manufactured the Escort Cosworth to be in compliance with all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards but they chose not to. So if you want to blame someone for making it difficult to legally drive your Cossie down the street then blame Ford for not certifying the vehicle compliant in the first place.

The '85-'86 Ford RS200 Evolution and the '86 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS 500 are eligible for importation under the "Show & Display" exemption. The '94-'95 Ford Escort RS Cosworth can be imported to the States and brought into compliance by a Registered Importer.
