95miata


well last night finally got the magnaflow out and was trying to take out the 96cat with it but wont budge so i left it on and attach it to my 95 muffler.

but the thing i need to know will a 96cat on a 95muffle will pass smog? or do i have to figure out how to remove the 96cat that was left on and try put the 95cat to the 95 muffler?

but will it pass smog?

yea cus i saw that the 96cat was extremely smaller then the 95.

i just dont want any trouble or run into any issue when it gets smog.

it will pass, but becareful some new smog tech wouldnt since its a obd 2 cat.

yea thats what i was wondering as well since its a obd2 and my obd1 cat is kinda different and much longer.

I really don't think they changed the cats between OBDI and OBDII

What's the difference, Aren't they all three way cats? Only thing I can think of is there is a bung for a seconday 02 sensor on OBDII cats.

obd2 has a o2 obd1 dont and looking at both of them last night they do not look the same lol but fits but the obd1 is much longe dont know if that would effect it or not.

That o2 sensor doesnt effect emissions though and just because they look different doesn't mean it will not work. They do the same exact thing.
