I got this weird crackling noise coming from my front Wilwoods

That video below is NOT my car, I just found it on YouTube, it shows exactly the same issue I have with my Miata :

At the beginning with the Wilwood pads it was ok, then this noise came. I changed the (unused) brake pads for a new set of Carbotech and after 3,000 miles (more or less) the same crackling showed up!

Any idea how I can fix this ?

Add some brake lube to the pin and the contact points between the pad backing plate and the caliper.

willwoods do that. they use a forged caliper, then cut them in half and add spacers for what ever rotor your running. it's in essence is a 3 piece caliper. what your hearing the the caliper prying it's self apart because the design is so flimsy. it's a crap for performance but really cheap to make.

My Wilwoods I had on my WRX did this, I never found a fix nor any actual signs of a problem other than the noise so I ignored it. Its not a floating caliper so it has no pins to lube.
