just got back from work to find a letter waiting for me from an insurance company claiming that I had caused and accident last week ( giving my reg number ) and that they would persue me for costs as it was my fault - genuine lletter not fraud or fake !!!

thing is that car ( my roadster ) that they quoted the number plate from the "alleged" accident has been sat in my garage for 9 months !!! WTF !!!

it may turn out to be a typing error on the insurance company dise but it may also turn out to be someone driving around with a clone of my plate ! so be warned just in case make sure you distort the plates on any pictures you post of your car as there are a lot of wan*ers out there that will happily land you in the **** I now have to clear myself from

Every time you drive your car more people see your registration plate, and have an opportunity to photograph/write down/obtain the number than would on most internet sites. Blurring your plate in random internet pictures won't stop this.
