Life buddy. I wanted to boost my miata this spring, then my wife fell down when we were ice skating and broke her wrist. She split one bone in half and dislocated the other. ER visit, surgery, blood transfusion to get the surgery, follow ups and rehab. Needless to say we are broke again. I wish people had more money in general but the market is killed. Its neither a buyers or a sellers market, its a keep what you have market.

Good job, good money management, bad situation. I pay my bills, put food on the table, and then try to scrape together money for mods. Even something little helps keep me going.
Also, student loans kick my ass. $500 a month right off the top doesnt help when you have rent, car, insurance, and food to buy also.

In all seriousness, i gave some thought to another no0b member looking to buy local, one of the local guys has a pretty dialed in NA. Good point is, it would be easier to sell the car stock then modded. Since the potential buyer will think. (i would rather mod it myself, and pay 2-3k now and learn to drive the car)... So i see why some people skip out on near full setup cars... It's like dating your buddy's hot X.. it just ain't right.

Bills. Plain and simple. My mom (yes i live at home, especially in this economy) got cancer and went on leave from work so already half the income to the house hold was gone, disability ain't ****. I got a new job and most of what I make covers at least a good portion of the loss. I'll save a bit for a while and then after a while buy something nice. But buying another car in these times just isn't practical for a lot of people.
But yea GLWS, hopefully it goes to a good home. Whenever the time comes.

Also OP, you should know you'll never get anywhere near the amount of money invested in a modded car. But if you're patient enough someone who has been saving may come along and want exactly what you're sellin' at a price you can agree on. It's just a waiting game.

plain and simple right there who wants to pay 5k or 6k for a 22 year old car when that money can be put to use on a down for a 2012 car. Also people have bills, life things come up, trust me i am looking for a NA and every value site i have checked kbb,nada,edmunds all have the miata ranging from 550-4k some of those value sites i have even checked every option and they still have a 1990 or even a 1992 miata in excellent condition going for 1.7k.

Listen, when I sre homeless guys with cellphones in Nashville, I don't think it's too unreasonable for even loeer class citizens to have smartphones. And suggesting that it's a ridiculous luxury or misappropriation of funds is idiotic.
