Wow. That felt like a really long time holding my breath. The forum was only down for about 1.5 hours but it felt like an eternity. I simply cannot live without this place. It's like air for me. Just before the site went down I had typed a lengthy response. Things got hung up when I tried to post and then I had "Could not connect to database" error. I'm glad that the message was still stored in cache so when I clicked the back button it was still in the Quick Reply box. I hate having to retype ideas when things crash like that. Glad we're back up and running.

Yeah, the SQL server at my ISP must have burped or something.

All is well, but if it goes down again, it could be that they are working on something.
