I used to have one on my NA.
Not sure if the guy who fitted it did it badly but the lights never stayed in a 'sleepy' position when they were turned on...Also it was a real pain in the ass, it just kept flapping all over the place when I turned the lights off.

 

It is extremely simple to wire/install. Here are some pics on how mine was:

Pull out your center console so you can access the wires behind the Emergency Flashers and headlight pop-up button.
Cut the Red/Green wire. Attached yellow wire to 1 end white to other.

Here is a picture of the wire that I had it wired to. (this picture was taken after the removal to show what wire was used)

There's the file. I'm currently having trouble with mine, it's wired correctly, and I can hear it turning on with power but still isn't working. I might just resell and go with the switch method or abandon sleepy eyes all together.

No they don't... In fact I think the English directions mention that they aren't supposed to stay sleepy when the headlights are on.

Interesting, I've been thinking about picking one of these up from a friend for a while. I just might have to pull the trigger after all.

 

Does anyone have the problem where one of their headlights slowly opens more than the other while driving? My right headlight pops itself up higher than the left if I go over too many bumps on the freeway to the point where the car looks like its retarded or something. <.^

 

Yeah, Always used to happen to mine over time

 

I wonder what the cause is and if there's any way to remedy it.
