You cannot over estimate how hot you wheels get on the track.

I had a neat experience once when I pulled off the track after an hour long session of pushing it pretty hard. About time I got my helmet off and climbed out of the car it started pouring down rain. Whenever a raindrop hit the wheels it instantly vaporized. Made a pretty cool sound too. Safe to say those wheels were doing a helluva good job dissipating the heat from the brakes.

I don't have any experience with plastidip but I would expect it to either melt off or curl up and flake off.
 
Dude its extra weight. Not like it would matter with those ancient balls of cement you have mounted. I think they discontinuted victoracers before most of this forum got their drivers license.
